Natwest
Designing Content for Customer Communication
NatWest dates back to 1968 when National Provincial Bank, Westminster Bank and District Bank came together to form National Westminster Bank – symbolised by the three chevrons in the logo. Today, NatWest still leads the way in innovation as one of the first banks to launch ApplePay and TouchID security.
the challenge
With a large scale rebrand programme launching in September 2016, NatWest were on the hunt for a creative agency to help bring the fresh new ‘We Are What We Do’ identity to their existing network of in-branch digital screens.
Our Approach
Pixel was selected as the preferred supplier and our design studio worked on countless briefs for digital content that can be seen at more than 300 branches across the UK. Focusing on a range of products and services, as varied as mortgages to free Wi-Fi or even simple welcome messages, our design studio used the full complement of software and design tools at their disposal to bring the new brand to life, including:
â– 3D animation
â– Illustration
â– Storyboarding
â– Live action filming
â– Green screen filming
â– Typography, including the development and manipulation of a new brand font.
The Outcome
In December 2016 we were delighted to be awarded the ‘Brand Champion’ award, which was given to agencies whose work for NatWest stood out to the brand marketing teams and delivered the message, style and execution the team hoped to see when issuing creative briefs.
