Multi Screen Digital Menus for a Sustainable Favourite
Founded in Beak Street, Soho, in 2009, Pure has gone on to be one of the fastest growing QSR operators in the UK.
the challenge
Pure were recommended to Pixel by another of our clients and asked us to specify a digital menu board for their latest store opening. The key challenge was the physical space that the store required a menu to cover not lending itself to any traditional display size.
Our Approach
The space available made the use of 32” displays mounted in portrait orientation was the most suitable option. A total of 9 screens were placed side-by-side to create the shape needed. A redundant media player setup was designed to provide failover in the event of any issues, ensuring maximum up-time for the solution.
The menu graphics were created by our design team, along with a series of promotional animations, which were scheduled to specific screens in the array so as not to detract from the legibility of the overall canvas. As typically is the case, menus were day-parted and we also provided a super-simple price and stock management portal, to allow store staff to change the price or mark any line out of stock.
The Outcome
The new digital menu solution really complements the interior of the Pure restaurants and allows store staff to control the day-to-day operation, but with head office controlling the promotions and brand identity. All of the equipment is remotely monitored and supported by the Pixel team, leaving the store to get on with the business of making and selling their fresh food.
