The brand has stores across the UK and Ireland, consisting of five large-format stores in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, and two small-format stores in Bristol and Dublin.
the challenge
Harvey Nichols was looking for a digital solutions partner to offer a fresh take on the refurbishment of their Knightsbridge flagship store. A key part of the brief involved identifying opportunities within the store layout for digital solutions to be integrated, as well as formulate an effective approach to upgrade existing displays with newer solutions.
The end goal was, essentially, to increase footfall and promote the Harvey Nichols brand throughout the various stores.




Our Approach
Our first project with Harvey Nichols was in 2015 at their Beauty Bazaar outlet in Liverpool One. We helped deliver the digital solutions throughout the store and installed several high impact displays, including a 1m x 5m LCD video wall, designed to enhance the stores aesthetics and attract footfall at the entrance.

Following this, Harvey Nichols retained our services, starting with consultation, as they embarked on a digital refurbishment project across their locations in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, Bristol and Dublin.

The refurbishment began at their Knightsbridge store, and a review of the existing digital installations, their position within the shopper journey, and how we could retrofit solutions into the store environment that would still blend seamlessly.

A big focus of the project was the incorporation of a large LED window display that would catch the eyes of pedestrians and entice them in.

Throughout the store, a mixture of 50, 55 and 65” Samsung LCD displays were installed to replace existing ceiling hung screens, walkway displays, checkout desk displays, beauty counters and partner brand displays. 86” Pillars and stretched format screens were installed in positions identified as prime locations, including at the top and bottom of escalators.

All Harvey Nichols content is managed centrally, by us, via their SCALA CMS Platform, which allows us to provide campaign reports, to monitor and support partner brand promotions, as well as automation and scheduling of content. We have also guided the way in which content is displayed on the screens, to offer a more harmonious , synchronised display cycle throughout the store.
The Outcome
Since the initial takeover in Knightsbridge, we have gone on to digitally refurbish stores in Dublin, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and more – covering all the sites in the Harvey Nichols estate.

We work closely with Harvey Nichols to continuously review and guide their digital ambitions, investing time in walking the stores to ensure efficiently of content, locations and identifying areas for further improvements.

We continue to manage and support all the displays and provide our onsite and remote support service package to ensure the displays are working at all times.
