Lancôme is a French luxury perfumes and cosmetics house that distributes products internationally.
the challenge
In 2008 Lancôme approached us with an idea to add a large format custom LED display to the new design of their concession refurbishment in Selfridges Oxford Street.
Our Approach
Our solution used a very fine pitch LED video wall, wrapped around all 4 sides of a structural pillar to provide a near seamless join at each corner. We also installed an LED banner behind the cash desks and mood lighting in several of the FSDUs, which automatically colour synchronised with the content on the main displays.
Bespoke content was created by our internal studio team in conjunction with Lancôme’s marketers to take advantage of the unusual formats offered by the LED displays. It was remotely updated to match the regular in-store product launches and promotions.
Since this successful install, we’ve worked with Lancome on a range of different projects within some of the biggest and best department stores throughout the UK and Ireland. From stunning video walls to full column wraparounds and curved LED screens, our work for Lancôme has been exciting and challenging. All content is created by our design team, in conjunction with Lancôme’s marketers, and is remotely updated to match the regular in-store product launches and promotions.
The Outcome
Since this first successful install, we’ve worked with Lancome on a range of different projects within some of the biggest and best department stores throughout the UK and Ireland. From stunning video walls to full column wraparounds and curved LED screens, our work for Lancôme has been exciting and challenging, but always covered by our key on-site out of hours support team to ensure maximum reliability.
