Large format digital LED ribbon with social integration
OFFSPRING has been a leader of the UK trainer market since its launch in 1996.
When Offspring were looking to refurbish their existing space in London’s Selfridges we were recommended by Selfridges as the digital implementation partner to work with.
The ambition was to transform their exclusive Sneaker concession to provide an improved experience for product launches and general browsing and the inclusion of a suitably impressive digital canvas was at the heart of their design.
As the picture below shows, we were asked to provide a full colour, full motion digital ribbon display wrapped around the entire space, tightly integrated with the new shelving design.
We supplied a fine pitch LED display nearly 30 metres wide, powered by a redundant pair of media players to provide failover support for this critical component of the store. We also worked hard on developing content concepts for them, which we knew would be vital to utilise this new canvas to its best effect.
The final solution includes automated integration with social feeds from various platforms, allowing the content on the screen to be updated in seconds with an interactive canvas on which fans of Offspring and the various brands the supply can show off their purchases.
