Lloyds Banking Group
Communicating progress and events to colleagues with digital displays
Lloyds Banking Group plc is an institution formed through the acquisition of HBOS by Lloyds TSB in 2009.
the challenge
The acquisition and subsequent merger of the operational systems of the two banks was a major project. We were asked to help assist with the intra team communications, by installing digital displays in key locations across project areas.
Our Approach
Flexibility in positioning was needed, along with the ability to quickly deploy, without the requirement to either attach to the fabric of the building or indeed use the LBG network. We designed and fabricated custom portrait format freestanding totems and fitted them with NEC displays. The internal media player was connected to our cloud content hosting by way of a private cellular connection, ensuring total freedom in the positioning of the displays.
The Outcome
The displays were used by the various project teams to post updates, notices and milestone countdowns, ensuring that all stakeholders were kept informed of progress and the remaining time before integration was complete. As ‘glance media’ it was found that the communications were incredibly effective at keeping colleagues focussed on the project’s progress.
