Promoting and wayfinding with indoor and outdoor digital displays
Olympia London is an exhibition centre, event space and conference centre in West Kensington, London that plays host to a range of international trade and consumer exhibitions, conferences and sporting events.
We were recommended to London Olympia’s management team when they were looking to upgrade their digital signs and the service and support across the facility. They required a refresh of the technology, an improved Content Management platform and some new indoor and outdoor digital touch-points.
Our initial project was to migrate their existing display and media player infrastructure from an obsolete content management platform to Scala. This included developing an integration with their events calendar data, to provide automated event listings and localised wayfinding, with each display being aware of its location in respect to each event space.
Subsequent to this initial migration, we installed many new digital displays around the site, including outdoor LED units at the main entrance and LCD displays within key dwell areas and confluence.
Olympia now have one of the most automated and flexible venue digital communication platforms. With full monitoring, remote and on-site support from Pixel, it leaves them free to concentrate on their day-to-day operations, knowing that their digital communications are up-to-date and working reliably.
