Pixel Inspiration has worked with Sainsbury’s Bank for more than a decade as its in-store digital media solutions provider, delivering a dynamic digital rateboard solution across its 240 travel money locations.
What we did
Clearly displayed, reliable, real-time foreign exchange information, alerts customers to the Sainsbury’s Bank travel money offer, providing reassurance that they are getting the best rates available and providing additional promotional media space for in-house and third-party advertising.
How we did it
A live data feed from the travel money back-office systems supplies real-time foreign exchange to the digital rateboard solution. This information is integrated with dynamic, creative content templates, which mimic the look of traditional rateboards but with the flexibility and impact that only a digital solution can provide.
To guarantee that exchange rates are kept up to date, we applied a set of automated business rules to the content management solution, ensuring rates are always synchronised. If a network issue occurs, the rates automatically expire and are replaced with marketing marketing messages until connectivity is restored.

What now?
Having installed hundreds of screens across their 200 travel money bureau sites, we continue to manage and support the digital solution, both remotely and on-site, regularly updating the creative content and templates to ensure a fresh and up-to-date look for the bureaus.
