Home / Work - Volvo
After supporting Volvo’s network of digital signs for many years, Volvo Cars UK asked us for help identifying a digital solution that would present vehicle specification details across its UK showrooms, helping customers understand the pricing, options applied and performance specifications for vehicles on display on the shopfloor. An internal trial using iPads had brought the realisation that these were not the right solution for a commercial grade, ‘always on’ experience.
What we did
We used our experience of supporting interactive displays in retail settings to provide Volvo with a range of options that had confidence in being appropriate for a typical retail dealer setting.
How we did it
Our key recommendation was to use a commercial-grade, “all in one” PCAP touch display that would be better suited to a busy car dealership setting. A range of physical sizes were assessed, from 13” upwards, with the client settling on 22” as being the perfect combination of usability and privacy.
Our software development team worked closely with stakeholders to integrate the Touch displays with Volvo’s existing back-office management system. This integration enabled seamless content updates via API within a locked-down user interface.
