To deal with the vast amount of property information managed across thousands of branches, data needed to flow automatically from central back-office systems to each localised branch display, without intervention from branch staff – after all, they were already managing their data, so adding an unnecessary process into their day to day duties would not be an efficient use of time.

 

Pixel's in-house software development team worked closely with Connells' developers to create a bespoke integration layer between the property management platform and the digital signage CMS. The system works to ensure property listings flow automatically to each branch’s window, providing complete accuracy across the network, managing almost 92,000 properties and making an average of 4,000 property updates per day. In-branch colleagues are able to continue their work as usual, without the need to update information manually.

 

To improve customer engagement outside trading hours, prospective buyers or passers-by can scan dynamically generated QR codes displayed alongside properties, providing instant access to additional information online.

 

Samsung OM range, 55” high-brightness displays ensure content remains visible in all seasons and environments, limiting brightness and power use through their ambient light sensors. The Tizen System on Chip (SOC) media player capability was used for content processing and playback duties, keeping the solution cost and hardware complexity down. 

 

Estate agency branches often occupy high-street properties with a huge variance in fenestration, so UNICOL Edgeline mounting systems were selected for their adaptability, powder coated to the correct RAL colour for the agency brand in question.

 

In addition to the property presentations, Pixel's in-house creative services team developed a suite of branded dynamic content templates, enabling Connells' marketing team to manage campaigns consistently across their multiple agency brands.
